With three decades of operations in the production of bicycle and motorcycle parts and accessories, Hsin Lung Accessories Co., Ltd., founded in Hsinchu, northern Taiwan , has diversified into the production of sporting goods.

In 1991, the company began to establish an offshore manufacturing base in Shenzhen, southern China , to expand its manufacture of bicycle parts. Today, Hsin Lung operates two factories in Shenzhen and one in Shanghai, with branch offices in Hong Kong and the Unites States.

Hsin Lung has had around 12 years of experience in the production and export of high-end motorcycle handle bars made of aluminum alloy. The United States is the key destination, accounting for 85 percent of its handle bars exported, with the remaining 15 percent being shipped to Europe. Most of the motorcycle handle bars exported carry the SATORI brand, according to Sunny Liao, assistant manager of sales department.

Sunny Liao said the internal tubes incorporated in the handle bars have been granted patent rights by the U.S. and Germany . Patents from Italy , France and the U.K. remain pending. She added that the handle bars made of aluminum alloy are light and look nice. A variety of colors is available for buyers to select. The assistant manager said 16 models of handle bars are now on offer.

Liao said Hsin Lung has recently introduced a new motorcycle product – brake lever – which would be mass produced in the second half of 2008. “Samples of brake levers have been shipped to interesting buyers overseas and we are waiting for their responses,” revealed the assistant manager. “We pin high hope on the brake levers.”
