Established in 1993, Standard Motor Corporation (abbreviated SMC) has been a manufacturer of motor vehicles for 14 years. The company is known as the first Taiwan maker to introduce and market big tires on scooters. Moreover, SMC holds the first experience on the 300cc water- cooled engine gear transmission ATVs, the professional racing sports from Taiwan .

Water-cooled engine

Its main technology has been focusing on stable and powerful engine, especially, in the water-cooled 250-350cc range of engine in CVT and Gear transmission. Furthermore, SMC developed the unique 3-in-1 engine, combining CVT, reverse, and differential gear into one compact unit, yielding more features and enhancing performance. For 2007 SMC

is introducing new ATV models with radical styling and paired with the enhanced 4-stroke water-cooled engine for the ultimate riding experience.

Located in Tainan county, southern Taiwan, SMC owns a factory of over 20,000 sq. meters in the Kangtien Industrial Park to integrate R&D design house, production, packing, service, testing and warehouse facilities into one facility. SMC also possesses in-house engine CNC machineries, frame welding, R&D, and assembly line to maximize efficiency which ensures outstanding product quality.
